In searching around to learn to mix more accurately, I discovered the website DJ Tech Tools. (http://www.djtechtools.com/) They have great tutorials on how to use Traktor and Ableton Live as well as reviews of new equipment and a lot of information relevant to the digital DJ. Check them out.

This is a departure from the usual mix sessions, because this one is not House. That’s right, baby. Dubstep in the house!

There are a couple of flubs, but overall, I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out.

I flew down to the San Francisco bay area this last weekend and spent some time with my friends there. I was staying with Apollo, so we produced a new tag-team Mix Session which got named 02 Juliet.

This is my first mix on the road (or at least the first that was produced outside of Idaho).

Digeum Mix Session 02 Juliet is 2 hours and 12 minutes of mostly soulful and disco house with a few surprises thrown in.

After a hiccup on Sunday which resulted in a 1 gb file filled with 2 hours of dead air, I slammed it hard with Digeum Mix 01 Yankee last night.

It’s kind of appropriate that the Yankee mix happened on President’s day.

Last week, I convinced a coworker that he should have a blog. I helped him setup one on wordpress.com and gave him a basic rundown of how it works. After almost a week, he has finally created his first post. It is a thought-provoking commentary about the challenges he has had to face just recently, and what he’s doing to meet those challenges.
