ConsuMuse vol. 1 update

me, music No Comments »

consumuse album artI found a cool little audio player, and have added all 20 of the songs from ConsuMuse vol. 1 to that. It’s a little easier to use than the way I was doing it previously with indiviudal players for each songs.

Of course, you can find the album here.

Upcoming Trips

entertainment, me 2 Comments »

I will definitely be travelling quite a bit over the next few months.

  • On Feb 29, I will be flying to Phoenix, Arizona for the weekend. This is a ConsuMeet (where a bunch of people from Consumating get together). This particular meet is called FatSumeet, where a bunch of us fatties get together and get our eat on. (God, did I just type that?) On Saturday, May 1, we will be going to the Arizona Renaissance Fair. Then on Sunday, May 2, we’ll be brunching at Lolo’s Chicken and Waffles. After that, it’s a flight back to Boise.
  • On May 9, I will be flying to Las Vegas for the Skank-Ass Ho Down II (Electric Boogaloo) Consumeet. This will probably be filled with debauchery and fun.
  • Thirdly, in July I will be going to New York for 2 weeks. This trip with be a combined family vacation (with my parents, my brother and my sister and her family) and Consumeet where I’ll be hanging out with some of my friends back there. Apparently we’ll be spending a week at a cabin in the mountains. It’ll be interesting to see what the woods are like back there, and how they differ from the woods here. The second week, we’ll just be staying at my sister’s place and I’ll get to see more of the city.

I’m really excited for this travelling. I don’t get many chances to travel, and it’ll be nice to get out and see more of the world.

Weekend stuff…

So, today, Jonathan came over. He’s moving to Portland, Oregon next week. So, we played some card games and talked. Patrick was also supposed to stop by, but he never did.

He did call to invite us to go see 30 Days of Night but not until 10 PM. The others didn’t want to go, but I really wanted to see that movie. So, I met Patrick and his brother-in-law at the Majestic Theater in Meridian. The movie was pretty good.

So, I think I’m starting to get sick. I’ve kinda started to feel like I’m getting a sore throat/cough coming on. So, when driving home from the movie, I stopped at Wal-Mart and bought some Zicam. We’ll see how well it does at making colds go away quicker.

Anyway…going to bed soon. Enjoy.

Midnight ramblings

me 2 Comments »

Well, according to my little laptop (currenly resting on my stomach while I lay in bed) it is 12:17 AM currently. I should go to sleep. I really should. I have to work tomorrow. For some reason, I couldn’t sleep. So I decided to blog something, since it’s been a while since I last posted.

So, to catch up on my life:

Work is busy, busy, busy. I don’t feel like I have time to do anything anymore. While I am at work anyway.
Friend and (now) former D&D party member Megan (who co-made the Cthulhu Crispy) moved to Portland, Oregon last week to pursue her career. She will be missed.
Friend and (soon to be) former D&D party member Jonathan (who also helped make Cthulhu Crispy) will be leaving for Portland, Oregon in, I think, 2 weeks.
After taking an extended break, I have gotten myself re-addicted to Consumating.com. Now, the fate of that site is shaky. The current operator of the site has mentioned that he’s not sure how much longer he’ll be working on it. The parent company (CNET) may shut it down. The original owner and operator might be trying to get it back. Who knows what will happen.
Speaking of Consumating.com, last weekend, I started a project on the site. I did a “post here” convo, in which I had people to sign up to have songs made, by me, for them. I allowed 20 people to sign up, and am currently 75% finished with the project. It’s been a lot of fun, and has allowed me to really work with Reason 4.0, which is the new version of the music software I use to write music.
By the way, I recently upgraded from Reason 3.5 to Reason 4.0.

Okay, let’s see if I can get to sleep now. G’night, friends.

Dinner and the Best Buy Emo Kid

me, stuff No Comments »

Tonight I had dinner with my mom, my brother and my niece. We went to Golden Corral, which has a pretty good steak for a buffet place.

When we were done there, we went to Best Buy. My mom is looking into getting an HDTV, and she wanted to see what they had. While there, she talked to an emo kid who worked there. He was very knowledgeable about the difference between Plasma and LCD.

A review of The Record Exchange

me No Comments »

The Record Exchange is the best record store in Boise, maybe even all of Idaho. They have a great selection of CD’s plus a lot of other stuff such as magazines, tee-shirts, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It definitely has that cool indie-music store air. I like spending time here.

I guess I’ve never been…

When I was in 7th grade, my brother and sister were both in the Payette high school band. That year, the band took a trip to Los Angeles to play at Disneyland. My mom went along as a bus chaperone. Along the way, we stopped at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas because the jazz band was going to play there for some show or something. We really only stayed for a short time, and it really wasn’t exciting because this was when the Mob still ran the show, so there really wasn’t anything exciting for a 11 year old kid like me.

Part of the above paragraph is untrue. I was talking about this with my mom a few weeks ago. She pointed out to me that this was at the MGM Grand in Reno, not in Vegas. For years, I had said that I’ve been to Vegas, but only when I was too young. All that time, I was incorrect.

So, I’ve never been to Vegas. I want to go.

A review of New York City: Too much for one weekend…

I went to New York for the first time last November. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to see everything I wanted to see in this beautiful city. I want to go back soon and see more.

How San Francisco changed my life

San Francisco is quickly becoming one of my favorite cities that I’ve been to. It is so beautiful with so much fun stuff to do. I am certain that this is the area where I want to live.
